Mainframe Integration Adapters
TIBCO Adapters provide easy-to-use, robust solutions for connecting to all your corporate assets, including packaged applications, custom applications, databases, and other technologies. Several TIBCO adapters enable customers to leverage their mainframe data and applications, seamlessly integrating them into their enterprise and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) strategies:

TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database
TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database executes on distributed platforms and provides bi-directional access to a number of leading databases, including remote access to a DB2 database that is running on z/OS. The adapter can send data from database tables in TIBCO messages. Alternatively, upon receiving a TIBCO message the adapter can interoperate with databases by: updating database tables, invoking database stored procedures, or executing SQL statements including query, Data Definition Language, or Data Manipulation Language.
TIBCO Adapter for Files (z/OS)
TIBCO Adapter for Files (z/OS) is a host-based solution that executes natively on z/OS, and provides bi-directional integration between the TIBCO environment and data sets on z/OS. The adapter can write the data from TIBCO messages into files, or send TIBCO messages containing data from files. Data can be sent or received at the level of records, blocks of data, or entire files. The adapter supports the most common mainframe format files, including: Partitioned data sets (PDSs), Sequential data sets (SEQs), and Generation Data Set Groups (GDGs).
TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for WebSphere MQ
TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for WebSphere MQ executes on distributed platforms and provides bi-directional integration between the TIBCO environment and IBM WebSphere MQ, including IBM WebSphere MQ running on the z/OS platform. The adapter supports operations consistent with the IBM WebSphere MQ messaging API. On receiving a TIBCO message, the adapter can put data on the relevant MQ queue, and if appropriate also return information from an MQ reply queue to the calling TIBCO application. Alternatively, the adapter can get a message from an MQ queue and send it as a TIBCO message, and if appropriate also return a response to an MQ reply queue.
TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for WebSphere MQ allows mainframe CICS, IMS, and COBOL applications that are already integrated with IBM WebSphere MQ to also be easily integrated with the TIBCO environment. The adapter supports the message formats that IBM WebSphere MQ applications use while exchanging data with CICS applications or IMS applications, including the optional header structures (MQ IMS Information Header (MQIIH) and MQ CICS Information Header (MQCIH)). COBOL applications can also be easily integrated with the TIBCO environment because the adapter can leverage COBOL Copybook structures to define the schemas for the data.
